Master Masons can get a glimpse of how the Scottish Rite offers so much to the Mason interested in enhancing his Masonic experience and increasing his Masonic knowledge.

Welcome to the Valley of Louisville new web page. We are excited that you took time out of your busy schedule to visit with us. This site has been implemented to keep our membership informed of upcoming events and provide general information and knowledge concerning the many different aspects of Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Louisville Scottish Rite and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, SJ, to improve its members and enhance the communities in which they live by teaching and emulating the principles of Brotherly Love, Tolerance, Charity, and Truth while actively embracing high social, moral, and spiritual values including fellowship, compassion, and dedication to God, family and country.

What is Scottish Rite

The Scottish Rite is a Masonic organization that continues a Master Mason’s education of the first three degrees. Other examples of Masonic affiliated organizations are: The Shrine (Shriners); York Rite; Grotto; Eastern Star, DeMolay International, Job’s Daughter’s, International Order of Rainbow for Girls and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. The Scottish Rite consists of the 4°–32° and an honorary 33°, which is awarded for exceptional service. See the History and Origin of Scottish Rite Masonry Video.
